Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya will offer its “Grape Afternoon Tea,” featuring seasonal grapes, from September 1 through November 30.
The sweets selection includes six items made with Kyoho grapes and Muscat grapes, such as grape macarons filled with Muscat and white chocolate ganache and grape confit; grape sweet minestrone, a dessert-inspired take on minestrone; grape tartelettes; and grape yogurt jelly. A Grape Small Parfait, layered with seasonal grapes, vanilla panna cotta, hazelnut crumble, and more, will also be available. The savory selection features three items: a mushroom tartelette with seasonal mushrooms and balsamic-marinated grapes accented with the aroma and spice of Japanese sansho pepper; a savory mini waffle layered with goat cheese, onion, and grapes; and a grape and bacon brochette. In October, a limited Halloween version decorated with motifs including jack-o’-lanterns, ghosts, spiderwebs, and eyeballs will be offered.
The afternoon tea will be served at Gallery 11 Restaurant & Bar. It is available from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., while the night tea is available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; both are served in two-hour seatings. Prices start from ¥5,537, including tax and service charge.
