
JAL and Kasumigaseki Capital Enter Hotel Development Business
Sun Frontier Hotel Management opened Tabino Hotel Utsunomiya Yuinomori on August 7.
The six-story hotel has 201 guest rooms, all measuring at least 15 square meters. Room types include doubles with kitchenettes, with IH cooktops and cooking utensils available for rental; twin rooms with sofa beds and deluxe twins accommodating up to three guests; universal rooms; and double rooms. All guest rooms except for one universal room are equipped with washing machines, microwaves, two-door refrigerators, 55-inch smart TVs, and air purifiers with humidifying functions. Serta beds are used throughout.
Facilities include a lobby, restaurant, meeting rooms, relaxation room, coin-operated laundry, shop, and parking for 141 vehicles. The large public bath features an artificial hot spring that recreates the mineral composition of Kirekawa Onsen in Tochigi Prefecture, while the men’s bath also includes a sauna and cold-water bath. Breakfast is served buffet-style using ingredients from Tochigi Prefecture, with daily selections including chitake mushroom udon, handmade zaru tofu, and Nikko yuba. Complimentary services include the “Welcome Cafe,” offering coffee and juice; the “HAPPY BAR,” offering alcoholic beverages; “TABINO Dashi Chazuke” with daily toppings; post-bath ice cream; and morning coffee.
The hotel is approximately a 15-minute walk from Yuinomori-higashi Station on the Utsunomiya Light Rail line, and about a 20-minute drive from the Utsunomiya-Kaminokawa Interchange (IC) on the Kita-Kanto Expressway.
