JAL and Kasumigaseki Capital Enter Hotel Development Business
fav hospitality group opened FAV LUX Miyazaki in Miyazaki, Japan, on July 1.
The hotel offers 41 rooms across six room types, including suites with 83-square-meter guestrooms and private 40-square-meter balconies; rooms with saunas produced by Miki-e Sasano, daughter of the owner of Sauna Shikiji; and sauna suites equipped with METOS saunas. Room rates start from JPY 16,000.
The sauna combines Finnish and Moris-style sauna experiences and features two cold baths at 15°C and 9°C, a 40°C jet bath, and an outdoor relaxation terrace. Day-use access is expected to be available from around September. The property also includes Rocs Fit, a hypoxic gym that recreates an environment equivalent to an altitude of 2,500 meters. The all-day dining restaurant, kitchen by fav, uses ingredients from Miyazaki and serves three types of “sauna meals”: beef tendon curry, Miyazaki Nichinan chicken nanban rice bowl, and hamburger steak hitsumabushi-style rice bowl. It also offers breakfast exclusively for guests, including grilled rice balls with salt-koji-marinated Nichinan chicken and a pork morning plate; dinners such as salads with locally grown vegetables and deli items and Margherita pizza with homemade tomato sauce; and sweets including homemade classic pudding and the Signature banana juice. To commemorate the opening, breakfast-included plans are being offered at a 30% discount.
The hotel is a 10-minute drive from JR Miyazaki Station and approximately 20 minutes by car from Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport.
