Hotel Tateyama ended its accommodation operations on August 31.
Opened in 1972, the hotel is located in Murodo at an elevation of 2,450 meters. It has 81 guest rooms and is typically open only from spring through autumn. In the fiscal year ending March 2025, it accommodated approximately 27,000 guests and recorded operating revenue of JPY 870 million.
Although the hotel had been owned by Tateyama Kanko Terminal, a subsidiary of Tateyama Kurobe Kanko, it was sold to Hoshino Resorts in March 2024. The sale was intended to allow the company to concentrate its management resources on its transportation business. Hoshino Resorts is expected to take over operations, while the food and beverage facilities and retail shops will remain open.
