Courtyard by Marriott Sapporo will hold its “France Fair” from September 1 through November 30.
The fair will offer a menu themed around bistro cuisine, combining ingredients from Hokkaido, including Hokkaido beef sirloin, with elements of French cooking. Selections include pâté en croûte, a meat pâté wrapped in pastry; jambon blanc, ham cured in salt and then cooked; jambon persillé, ham and parsley set in aspic; homemade charcuterie featuring rillettes, a paste made from slow-cooked pork; Hokkaido beef sirloin baked in a salt crust and served with béarnaise sauce; coq au vin, chicken braised in red wine with vegetables and bacon; and tarte flambée, topped with fromage blanc, bacon, and onions. Desserts include a jumbo gâteau Mont Blanc and crêpes Suzette finished with an orange butter sauce.
The fair will be held at the all-day dining restaurant “Substance” on the second floor. It will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Prices are 3,600 yen for adults and 1,800 yen for children, including tax and service charges.
