MK Holdings has apologized after confirming that Yu Chang-wan, the owner of group company Tokyo MK, committed acts of power harassment against employees at a business office.
The incident occurred in the early morning of August 13 and caused significant distress and psychological burden to the employee subjected to the conduct, as well as to employees who were present.
From September 3, the company took measures to prohibit Mr. Yu from entering Tokyo MK facilities. He has reportedly agreed to the measure.
As measures to prevent a recurrence, the company said it will establish a consultation and reporting system at Tokyo MK, strengthen harassment prevention training, and enhance compliance systems for management and executives.
