
Hyatt and Delta Air Lines Announce Long-Term Strategic Partnership
Hotel New Otani’s three directly managed hotels in Tokyo, Makuhari, and Osaka will hold the “Chestnut and Grape Sweets Fair” from September 1 through November 30.
The Super Mont Blanc (¥3,780, takeaway) is made with Japanese chestnuts of the variety at their peak season. It features an almond tart with marron glacé, wasanbon vanilla mochi, baked elderflower meringue, and vanilla and cream cheese ganache montée, accented with Hingya salt from Aogashima Island.
Other items on sale include a shortcake (¥3,024, takeaway) layered with steamed chestnuts and matcha custard cream, with brown sugar syrup sweet red bean paste, brown sugar syrup jelly, and mini daifuku hidden inside; a croissant (¥756, takeaway) filled with steamed chestnut paste wrapped in croissant dough and finished with bronze chocolate; pancakes (¥3,630) topped with wasanbon vanilla mochi, chestnuts, candied chestnuts, anko jelly with chunky sweet red bean paste, and a marron macaron; a shortcake (¥3,564, takeaway; limited to 20 per day) made with Shine Muscat grapes and Pione grapes; yogurt jelly from Iwate Prefecture (¥1,404, takeaway) topped with Shine Muscat and Pione grape flesh and grape jelly; and grape jelly (¥1,674, takeaway).
