Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki, in collaboration with AIRDO, will hold the “AIRDO Hokkaido Direct Market at Kawasaki Station” for two days only, September 16 and 17, inside the Central South Gate area of JR Kawasaki Station.
Using the “Hokkaido Produce Airlifted via AIRDO Direct Service,” the market will sell seasonal Hokkaido-grown vegetables shipped directly from the production area: corn and white onions, available in limited quantities. Gold Rush corn (KOKO Farm, Abashiri City) will be available from September 16, while Pure White corn (Shinoda Farm, Kiyosato Town) will be available only on September 17. Also available will be scallop soup and onion soup served through AIRDO’s in-flight drink service, Bear Do plush toys, and Bear Do miniature salmon crates containing “saké toba” dried salmon. The market will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Payment is accepted by credit card and electronic money only.
At the all-day dining restaurant “Terrace and Table,” which is currently hosting the “Hokkaido Buffet Journey: A Gourmet Flight Through the Bounty of the Land and Sea,” boiled Gold Rush corn will be served on September 16 and Pure White corn on September 17. On both days, the restaurant will also offer “Yukigeshiki” white onions (S&H Farmer), grown in Tokoro Town, as white onion pot-au-feu.
