United Tests Gate Pickup for Pre-Ordered Meals at Newark
Fukuoka International Airport and the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks have signed a mutual cooperation agreement aimed at promoting the appeal of Fukuoka, boosting tourism, and enhancing the value of both parties.
The areas of cooperation include promoting Fukuoka’s attractions; welcome displays and information dissemination at Fukuoka Airport; regional revitalization and creating vibrancy through sports; attracting visitors from Japan and overseas and promoting tourism; and initiatives that contribute to enhancing both brands’ value.
As the first initiatives, the partners will introduce welcome decorations within the airport, establish a Hawks exhibition area, and hold public viewings of Hawks games.
The welcome decorations, featuring images of players, will be displayed on a wall near the North Arrivals Exit on the first floor of the domestic passenger terminal building. They will be in place from September 7 until around summer 2027. The Hawks exhibition area will be installed at the entrance to “the foodtimes,” near the atrium on the third floor of the domestic terminal building, beginning September 7.
The public viewings will be held at “HAKATA GARDEN” on the fourth floor of the domestic terminal building. They will cover six away games: three games against the Orix Buffaloes from September 15 to 17, and three games against the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles from September 19 to 21. Events will begin 30 minutes before game time and continue until the end of the game or the restaurant’s closing time at 9:30 p.m. Guests must order from the food and beverage menu to participate, with further details to be announced once finalized. Seating is limited.
