
Akita Prefecture’s Railways Offer ‘Akita Holiday Pass’ for Unlimited One-day Rides
The JR Group will offer the “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass,” which allows unlimited travel on local trains and other JR services nationwide in Japan for three consecutive days, from October 3 to 18.
For three consecutive days during the validity period, the pass provides unlimited travel in ordinary-class non-reserved seats on local and rapid trains across Japan’s JR network, as well as on BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) services and the JR West Miyajima Ferry. It can also be used for through travel on the Aoimori Railway, Ainokaze Toyama Railway, IR Ishikawa Railway, and Happi-line Fukui, while limited express trains may be used on certain sections under special provisions. The price is 7,850 yen for adults and 3,920 yen for children.
In addition, the “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass Hokkaido Shinkansen Option Ticket” will be sold for use in combination with the Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass. It permits one one-way trip on the Hokkaido Shinkansen between Oku-Tsugaru-Imabetsu and Kikonai stations, and on the South Hokkaido Railway Line between Kikonai and Goryokaku stations. The price is 4,650 yen for adults and 2,320 yen for children, and a valid Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass must be purchased separately.
Both tickets will be available for purchase from September 18 through October 16 at major JR stations nationwide, JR travel centers, and major travel agencies.
