
Jin Air Launches Discount Promotion for Flights from Sapporo and Tokyo to South Korea
Rakuten Group will begin selling travel assistance under the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” for Saga Prefecture on its travel booking website, Rakuten Travel, from noon on September 24.
Eligible products include accommodation-only bookings and “Dynamic Packages” combining airfare and accommodation. The eligible stay period is from October 1 through December 25, with checkout permitted through the following day.
On Rakuten Travel, Dynamic Packages combining JR train tickets and accommodation, multi-prefecture tours involving stays in two or more prefectures, and reservations made through foreign-language websites are not eligible.
The Kyushu Recovery Support Discount applies to travel and accommodation products involving stays of one night or more in Japan’s Kyushu region, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where cancellations have had a significant impact on tourism, offer a 60% discount. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen per night for accommodation-only products and transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products; 30,000 yen for transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products of two nights or more; and 35,000 yen for touring travel products involving stays in two or more prefectures. Day trips, day-use stays, publicly funded business trips, business use, and plans that include highly convertible gift certificates are not eligible.
