Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X will resume operations on certain international routes and increase frequencies in response to growing demand.
Breakdown of destinations includes 17 cities in East Asia, including China, Japan, Taiwan, and Macau; 15 cities in ASEAN, including Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Laos; 13 cities in South Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives; and one city in Central Asia (Kazakhstan). The airlines will operate 53 routes to 46 cities from Bangkok/Don Mueang.
Thai AirAsia X will focus on its Japan routes. It will operate up to 21 weekly round trips to Tokyo/Narita and up to 14 weekly round trips to Osaka/Kansai. Service to Sapporo/Chitose will resume with four weekly round trips from October 1, increasing to up to seven weekly round trips from December 1. Service to Nagoya/Chubu will resume with four weekly round trips from October 2. The airline will also operate four weekly round trips each to New Delhi and Almaty.
Thai AirAsia will resume services from October 25 on the Bangkok/Don Mueang–Kuala Lumpur and Phuket–Siem Reap routes; from November 6 on the Bangkok/Don Mueang–Ahmedabad route; from November 16 on the Bangkok/Don Mueang–Gaya, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Lucknow routes; and from November 17 on the Bangkok/Don Mueang–Jaipur route.
