DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake will offer its “Harvestory Afternoon Tea” from October 1 through November 30.
“Harvestory” is a name combining “harvest,” meaning gathering crops, and “tree,” which symbolizes DoubleTree by Hilton. The afternoon tea celebrates autumn, when seasonal flavors such as chestnuts, Shine Muscat grapes, figs, persimmons, pumpkin, Pacific saury, and mushrooms are in season, as a harvest festival through sweets and savory items. The five sweets include marron tiramisu made with the hotel’s signature chocolate chip cookie, which is given to guests as a welcome cookie; pumpkin pudding; and a Shine Muscat tart layered with custard made using Muscat juice instead of milk. The three savory items include caprese with seasonal persimmons marinated in white balsamic vinegar, and quiche baked with sautéed mushrooms and egg custard. Plain and Earl Grey scones will be served with clotted cream and citrus jam. Drinks include Ronnefeldt tea, coffee, and juices.
The venue is SAUS on the first floor. The service is available from noon to 3 p.m., with a two-hour seating limit. Prices start from 4,200 yen per person, or from 5,700 yen with a Charlie plush toy. Tax and service charge are included.
