
American Express to Offer Limited-Edition Mirror Design for Platinum Cards in Japan
American Express and Marriott International are running a new cardmember campaign through October 5, offering bonus points for enrolling in either of two co-branded cards.
With the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Premium Card (annual fee: ¥82,500), cardmembers can earn 10,000 points by spending ¥300,000 within the first three months after enrollment, plus an additional 45,000 points by spending a total of ¥1.5 million during the same period. Including the regular points earned on spending, cardmembers can earn up to 100,000 points.
With the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card (annual fee: ¥34,100), cardmembers can earn 10,000 points by spending ¥300,000 within the first three months after enrollment, plus an additional 45,000 points by spending a total of ¥1.5 million during the same period. Including the regular points earned on spending, cardmembers can earn up to 55,000 points.
Both cards include Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status. Premium Card members can earn Platinum Elite status by spending ¥5 million or more annually.
All points awarded are Marriott Bonvoy points.
