H.I.S. (HIS) will begin selling travel packages under the Kyushu Recovery Support Discount program for Kumamoto Prefecture at noon on October 7.
Only eligible tours that include both airfare and accommodation will be available for sale, and customers will need to enter a coupon code. The eligible stay period runs from October 1 through December 25, with checkout on the following day.
The Kyushu Recovery Support Discount applies to travel and accommodation products involving stays of one night or more in the Kyushu region of Japan, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where cancellations have had a particularly significant impact on tourism, receive a 60% discount. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen per night for accommodation-only products and transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products; 30,000 yen for transportation-inclusive accommodation travel products of two nights or more; and 35,000 yen for multi-destination tour products covering accommodations in two or more prefectures.
