AirAsia X Transfers Kansai–Taipei–Kuala Lumpur Route to AirAsia
Japan Airlines (JAL) will end its Deutsche Bahn (DB) Rail&Fly service on October 14, following the termination of the partnership between Deutsche Bahn (DB) and WorldTicket (W2).
The service allows passengers connecting within 24 hours between JAL flights JL407/408 on the Tokyo/Narita–Frankfurt route and Deutsche Bahn trains to purchase Deutsche Bahn tickets linking Frankfurt Airport station with cities throughout Germany together with their airline ticket. No specific train time is assigned, and seats can be secured by purchasing a seat reservation. The service is available for published fares originating in Japan and Germany.
As a result, for bookings for travel from October 15 onward, Deutsche Bahn segments with flight numbers beginning with “W2” will be cancelled sequentially. It is also expected that itineraries will no longer be viewable on the JAL website.
JAL said it will announce its policy on refunds, changes, and other arrangements for the rail segments once it has been decided.
