Japan Airlines (JAL) will operate special flights on the Tokyo/Haneda–Izumo route.
The flights will operate on November 19, with one round trip, or two flights, scheduled. JAL will use a Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 165 seats: 20 Class J seats and 145 Economy Class seats. Flight time will be 1 hour and 25 minutes from Tokyo/Haneda and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Izumo.
The special flights are timed to coincide with the Kamiari Festival (November 18–25) at Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine in Shimane Prefecture. JAL decided to operate the additional service due to strong bookings on the morning outbound flight on November 19.
Ticket sales began on October 6.
