Resorttrust Reports Data Breach Affecting 62,000 Records
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku reopened on September 29 following a renovation of the entire property.
The number of guest rooms was reduced from 179 to 120, increasing the average room size by approximately 1.5 times to around 25 square meters. New rooms accommodating up to four guests have also been added. Creative direction and spatial design were handled by Nomura Kogei, with Design Director Junichi Saito and Designer Kohei Fujinaka leading a complete renewal of the property, from its spatial design to its smallest details. Issei Nomura created the property’s signage, combining a diverse range of typefaces to express the concept of “fluctuations between deviation and order.” The exterior design evokes the entrances of cinemas and theaters from a bygone era.
As part of its experiential offerings, a patch-making booth has been permanently installed in the first-floor lobby. The first initiative will feature the production and sale of limited-edition patches in collaboration with the jazz café DUG. A Shinjuku local photo tour in partnership with MagicalTrip and the sale of record-inspired chocolates are also planned.
