Nippon Travel Agency began selling travel products for Fukuoka Prefecture under the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program at 2 p.m. on October 16.
Only dynamic packages combining air tickets or JR rail travel with accommodation are eligible. The travel period runs from October 30 through December 14, for departures within that period.
The Kyushu Recovery Support Discount applies to travel and accommodation products in the Kyushu region that include at least one overnight stay, offering a 50% discount on travel and accommodation costs. Discounts of 60% are available for Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures, where tourism has been significantly affected by cancellations. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen per night for accommodation-only products and accommodation travel products with transportation; 30,000 yen for accommodation travel products with transportation for stays of two nights or more; and 35,000 yen for multi-destination tour products covering accommodation in two or more prefectures.
