Cathay Pacific to Operate Up to 157 Weekly Round Trips on Japan Routes in Winter Schedule
British Airways has unveiled new cabins to be installed on its Airbus A380 aircraft.
The aircraft will be fitted with 12 seats in First Class, branded “First”; 106 seats in Business Class, branded “Club World”; 84 seats in Premium Economy, branded “World Traveller Plus”; and 215 seats in Economy, branded “World Traveller.” The galleys and stairways will also be refurbished, with more than 35,000 components installed on each aircraft.
Club World will occupy the entire upper deck, making it the world’s largest business-class cabin. It will be divided into four zones and feature dedicated relaxation spaces and a Club Kitchen. The cabin has been redesigned around blue, red, and cream tones, with additional storage. The amenity kits were designed by four British artists in partnership with art platform Rise Art, and contain products from British wellness brand anatomē.
First will feature the new suite announced in 2024. In the center seats, opening the partition creates a shared lounge space, allowing travelers to dine with companions using a retractable table. Each seat will include a minibar with complimentary snacks and water.
Bedding will include herringbone-patterned blankets and navy cushions. Navy sleepwear and slippers featuring an exclusive tartan will also be available from October 1. For sleeping, passengers will be provided with a mattress, cotton duvet, and newly designed pillow. From October 6, a unisex amenity kit created with long-established British brand Swaine will be introduced. Inspired by suitcases used during the early days of air travel, it will be available in royal blue and cream. The kit contains Wildsmith skincare products, including a face mist, hand and body lotion, ceramide multi-balm, lip balm, face cream, and overnight mask.
In-flight dining will also be revamped and offered across all aircraft on long-haul routes from October 1. Under the “From the Grill” menu, passengers can pair sides and sauces with main dishes such as British roast lamb and grilled salmon, while signature mains will also be available. Stoneware and bone china will be used for tableware, while the cutlery was created by Studio William and the wine glasses were developed with Richard Brendon and wine expert Jancis Robinson. The beverage selection will include champagnes such as Bollinger La Grande Année, as well as a selection of gins.
Premium Economy and Economy will also receive larger monitors and refreshed bedding. The Premium Economy amenity kit can be reused as a tote bag and includes Dr.PAWPAW moisturizing balm, a dental kit, socks, and an eye mask.
