AirAsia X will temporarily increase flights on its Sapporo/Chitose–Kuala Lumpur route.
The route will resume operations from October 25 with four round trips per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This represents a significant increase from the original plan, with six additional weekly round trips on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from December 14 through January 26, 2027, bringing the total to 10 weekly round trips. From January 27 through February 12, three additional weekly round trips will be operated on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, bringing the total to seven weekly round trips.
Airbus A330-300 aircraft will be used. Flight time will be 8 hours 25 to 35 minutes from Sapporo/Chitose and 7 hours 25 to 35 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. The service will operate through March 26, 2027.
