Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Yokohama Station to Open on December 18
Keio Plaza Hotel opened its French restaurant, “Meilleur,” on the 44th floor of its Main Tower on October 23.
The restaurant concept is “a special place within a plaza where everyone can relax.” As its main dining venue, it serves cuisine that combines Japanese sensibilities with French techniques. The restaurant has 22 seats. Chef Kyohei Konishi oversees the cuisine, actively using ingredients cultivated by producers across Japan, primarily in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including seasonal vegetables from Kired in Yotsukaido, Chiba Prefecture; edible flowers from Yokoyama Horticulture in Kiyose, Tokyo; and tomatoes from Seki Farm. The dishes offer a taste of the local climate and the seasons. To complement the cuisine, the restaurant also proposes a variety of pairings, including domestic and international wines from Takahata Winery in Takahata, Yamagata Prefecture, and Vineyard Tama in Tokyo, as well as sake and Japanese tea.
Hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Sundays. When its regular closing days fall during consecutive holidays, it will be closed on the final day of the holiday period and the following day. The dress code is smart casual, and guests must be aged 10 or older.
