Delta Air Lines will revamp its Delta One business class service, with an initial rollout on transoceanic routes departing Los Angeles from November 3.
Following more than USD 1 billion in investments in its aircraft, this will be the airline’s largest investment to date. The enhanced service will expand to all international flights and select long-haul domestic U.S. flights in early 2027.
For inflight dining, Delta has partnered with Michelin-starred chef Simon Hulstone to offer items including the Delta One Wagyu Beef Burger, Hong Kong-style sea bass, and sorbet paired with Taittinger Champagne. Japanese cuisine will continue to be supervised by Norio Ueno of Ichiju Nisai Ueno in Japan.
For its wine selection, Delta worked with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson and SkyMiles members to select wines from 1,600 options. Thirteen wines from 11 wineries will be offered from October 2026 through September 2027.
A new cocktail and mocktail program will also be introduced, offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the Hugo Spritz and Paloma. The program will begin on international flights in March 2027 and on domestic U.S. flights in April.
All flights to and from Tokyo/Haneda will offer Dassai Junmai Daiginjo 45 sake. Single-barrel bourbon Blanton’s will also be newly available from December.
A new tableware collection featuring Delta’s triangular “widget” logo will be introduced. Service enhancements will include freshly ground pepper and main-dish sauces served separately in sauce pots.
Pre-order menus will add lighter meal options, including protein-enhanced salads. On long-haul routes, passengers will be able to choose coffee and a croissant as a pre-arrival meal. The advance reservation window for main dishes will be extended by six hours, allowing orders until 18 hours before departure.
Beginning November 3, amenity kits will feature Missoni’s winter collection, “Winter Elsewhere.” The kits will include a newly added wrist strap, Grown Alchemist skincare products, Marvis toothpaste, and a Missoni eye mask. On long-haul international flights, Delta will also offer the Missoni Mini cuddle pillow. In addition, Bombas socks from the U.S. sock maker will be offered for a limited time on select domestic U.S. flights and international flights departing the United States.
On the ground, Delta will expand its partnership with Porsche, increasing the number of hybrid vehicles used for VIP Select at 15 major airports from 40 to 70 by 2028.
More than 200 flight attendants and team members were involved in the revamp. Following a four-stage testing process lasting more than 14 months and 36 test flights, more than 200 comments and suggestions were incorporated.
