Polaris Holdings has announced that it will gradually rebrand six hotels it operates under the Best Western brand as KOKO HOTELS starting in December.
On December 1, Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Chitose will be rebranded as KOKO HOTEL Chitose, Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Osaka Kitahama as KOKO HOTEL Osaka Kitahama, and Best Western Osaka Tsukamoto as KOKO STAY Osaka Tsukamoto. In February 2027, Best Western Plus Fukuoka Tenjin Minami is scheduled to become KOKO HOTEL Fukuoka Tenjin Minami.
Best Western Hotel Fino Shin-Yokohama and Best Western Hotel Fino Tokyo Akasaka will also be renamed by March 2028, although their new names have yet to be decided.
Best Western Plus Nagoya Sakae and Best Western Hotel Fino Osaka Shinsaibashi will continue to operate under the Best Western brand.
Following the rebranding, guests will be able to use the benefits of the irodori pass membership program. There are no enrollment or annual fees. Benefits include 10% off regular rates when booking through the official website, a best rate guarantee, 500 points for new members, points back equivalent to 3% to 10% of accommodation charges, one-hour late checkout, and a gift upon check-in.
Guests with existing reservations will be able to stay without any changes to their booking details after the brand change.
Meanwhile, the Best Western Rewards membership program can be used only until the day before each property’s rebranding date. No benefits, including points, will be granted for stays from the rebranding date onward, including for existing reservations. Membership will not be automatically transferred from Best Western Rewards to irodori pass, so guests will need to enroll again.
KOKO HOTELS is a brand built around the concept, “HERE DISCOVERY BEGINS — Discover your journey from here.” It operates 67 hotels across Japan. Including its master brand, Polaris Hotels & Resorts, the total reaches 73 properties.
