Emirates Expands Airbus A350 Service on Vietnam Routes
Avolon has placed a firm order for 140 Boeing 737-10 aircraft.
Avolon’s Boeing 737 MAX order backlog now exceeds 240 aircraft. This is the largest-ever 737 MAX order by a leasing company and accounts for more than 20% of the aircraft’s total backlog.
The Boeing 737-10 is the largest member of the Boeing 737 MAX family. It can seat up to 230 passengers and delivers the lowest cost per seat among single-aisle aircraft currently in service. In a two-class configuration, it typically seats 185 to 210 passengers and has a range of up to 3,100 nautical miles (5,740 kilometers). Technical improvements reduce carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption by 20%.
Andy Cronin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Avolon, commented, “Demand for aircraft incorporating new technologies remains strong, and this order further strengthens our long-term delivery pipeline. The 737-10 combines outstanding economics with the capacity airlines require.”
Aircraft leasing company Avolon does business with 138 airlines in 62 countries and has a fleet of 1,092 aircraft, including owned, managed, and ordered aircraft.
