Lufthansa Group Postpones Dubai Service Resumption to November 25
Emirates launched its Dubai–Helsinki route on October 1.
The service operates year-round with one daily round trip. An Airbus A350-900 aircraft, configured with 298 seats across three classes, is used on the route. Flight time is 7 hours and 10 minutes from Dubai and 6 hours and 35 minutes from Helsinki.
The inaugural flight from Dubai was also used by connecting passengers from more than 20 cities, including Mumbai, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Sydney. Passengers received commemorative gifts such as boarding certificates and keychains.
This is the only nonstop service linking the United Arab Emirates and Finland. Demand between Dubai and Helsinki remains strong, with some travelers connecting via other Nordic cities. Trade between the two countries also continues to expand.
The route offers convenient connections to major cities in East Asia and Southeast Asia, including Japan, as well as West Asia, the Indian Ocean region, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia.
Finnair had operated the route as a seasonal scheduled service during the winter timetable, but has suspended it for the current winter schedule in consideration of the situation in the Middle East.
