Jetstar Japan Unveils New-Spec Airbus A321LR Ahead of 2027 Rebranding
International Airlines Group (IAG) has revealed that it has reduced its deliveries of new aircraft this year to 12.
While it had initially planned to take delivery of 16 aircraft, this has been revised to eight aircraft for short-haul routes and four for long-haul routes. The group reportedly took delivery of its first Boeing 787 aircraft powered by General Electric (GE) engines in mid-October.
The introduction of Boeing 737 aircraft has been delayed, while deliveries of Boeing 777-9 aircraft are now expected to slip to 2028.
IAG is the holding company of airlines including British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, and Level.
