Sangikyo Railway will start commercial operations of the Series 211 trains.
To replace the existing 21 trains on the Sangi Line, a total of 30 cars, consisting of 10 sets of 3-car formations, will be introduced from JR Central, with 24 of them being used for commercial operations. The necessary modifications will be made, and the trains will be introduced sequentially.
JR Central is progressing with the replacement of the Series 211 trains with the Series 315 trains.
