JR East Japan has announced the suspension of the “B.B.BASE” train service starting in October.
The reason for the suspension is due to a malfunction in the vehicle’s heating system. The date for resuming operations is currently undecided, and will be announced once determined.
The B.B.BASE, which started operating in January 2018, is a train that allows passengers to board with their bicycles without disassembling them (6-car train). The train is equipped with cycle racks and rubber flooring with ridges. It operates mainly on weekends, starting from Ryogoku station and runs on lines such as the Sobu Line, Narita Line, Uchibo Line, and Sotobo Line.
