JR Fujisawa Station to Change Departure Melody to ‘Fujisawa City Song’ Starting October 1
JR East Japan will change the departure melody at Fujisawa Station on the Tokaido Line to the ‘Fujisawa City Song’ starting from October 1.
The melody will be used on platforms 3 and 4, with each arrival and departure track having a different arrangement of the melody. The adoption of this melody comes in response to requests from citizens and aims at fostering a sense of affection among the users towards the city.
The Fujisawa City Song was established on October 1, 1950, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the city’s establishment. A ceremony to unveil the new departure melody will be held within the ‘Fujisawa Citizens’ Festival’ on September 22.
