Tokai Kisen will start trial operations of the Tokyo to Shimoda route.
The service will operate on November 18th and 19th, covering approximately 160 kilometers in about 2 hours and 10 minutes. The fare for adults is 7,500 yen one way and 13,000 yen for a round trip, with children at half price. Each flight has a capacity of 200 passengers, and telephone reservations will be accepted from October 1st.
The decision to operate this route was made following the favorable reception of the special cruise between Tokyo and Matsuzaki that started in June. The company aims to attract divers, anglers, and tourists, as well as contribute to the revitalization of the local economy of Shimoda City and surrounding areas.
