Granbell Hotel is set to open the “Otaru Granbell Hotel” in July 2025.
It will be the eighth location in Hokkaido for the group. The building will be six stories high and will house a total of 159 rooms. The designer hotel aims to harmonize with Otaru’s culture and history, incorporating the design inspired by the layers of the “Otaru soft stone” formed by the underwater volcanoes in the area. The hotel will feature a restaurant, a large communal bath, an open-air bath, and a bar terrace shaped like an octagon offering a panoramic view of Otaru.
The hotel is a 15-minute walk from JR Hakodate Main Line Otaru Station.
