Skymark and Shimojishima Airport Management have announced the extension of their campaign, which offers free airport access bus fares to Miyako Island residents using the Shimojishima to Tokyo/Haneda route, until March 29, 2025.
The campaign covers the Miyako Kyoei Bus Route No. 9 Shimojishima Airport Resort Line and the Chuo Kotsu Miyako Shimojishima Airport Liner for free use. The campaign started on October 25, 2020.
Passengers boarding from the city must show a reservation confirmation or a check-in barcode proving their reservation, while those boarding from the airport need to present their boarding pass and a document proving their Miyako Island residency, such as a driver’s license. It is required to sign a special boarding ticket given by the crew member, and hand the stub to the crew member upon disembarking.
