Keio Corporation Introduces Train Boarding Services with Touch Payment and QR Codes at All Stations Starting November 6
Keio Corporation will support boarding with touch payment-compatible credit cards, and QR boarding tickets at all stations from November 6.
This initiative is conducted in collaboration with Sumitomo Mitsui Card, Visa Worldwide Japan, JCB, Omron Social Solutions, and QUADRAC.
Riders can pass through the gates by touching their touch payment-supported card or smartphone to a newly installed dedicated reader at the gates. The supported brands are Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay. Mastercard will be added gradually. Boarding with a QR boarding ticket is possible by holding a QR boarding ticket purchased from the ticket site to a dedicated reader installed on the automatic gates.
Temporary gates at Shinjuku Station, Akebonobashi Station, Chofu Station, and Keio-Tamagawa Station are excluded.
