Japan Airlines (JAL) and JR Hokkaido are launching the ‘East & North Hokkaido Campaign’ from November 1st until March 31st, 2025.
They will release travel packages that bundle JAL flight tickets from various parts of Japan to Sapporo/Chitose, Okadama, Memanbetsu, Asahikawa, Kushiro, Obihiro, and Nemuro Nakashibetsu with accommodations and the special ‘JAL/JR Hokkaido East & North Hokkaido Campaign Pass.’ These packages will be available through participating travel agencies.
The ‘JAL/JR Hokkaido East & North Hokkaido Campaign Pass’ allows unlimited travel on designated express and local trains (including rapid services) within the free travel zones. Valid for 2 to 5 days, it offers access to unreserved seats or non-designated seat tickets on trains that sell reserved seats, with the possibility to use vacant reserved seats in ordinary cars. A separate reserved seat ticket is required for rides on the ‘SL Winter Wetlands Train (all reserved seats).’
As part of the campaign benefits, an original notebook ‘Tabi Atsume’ will be given as a gift upon exchange of the free pass, along with discount coupons usable for airport shuttle buses linking Asahikawa Airport and Tokachi-Obihiro Airport with downtown areas.
