Japan Airlines (JAL) will offer a limited quantity of ‘Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Single Malt JAL EXCLUSIVE 2024,’ produced by Venture Whisky at the Chichibu Distillery, through its pre-order service for international flights.
JAL aims to promote the experience of Japanese craft whisky, made in craft distilleries spread across Japan, as a way to encourage visitors to explore different regions of the country and create connections through travel. This initiative marks the fourth installment of such efforts.
‘Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Single Malt JAL EXCLUSIVE 2024’ is blended from around ten different types of aged barrels, primarily non-peated liquor aged in bourbon barrels, with peated liquor and liquor aged in Oloroso Sherry casks among others. It is said to offer a chance to enjoy a fruity fragrance that evokes fresh mint and a complex, gradually changing expression.
The product will be available for purchase by First Class and Business Class passengers from November 1 to December 31, with a price of 30,000 yen.
