Japan Airlines (JAL) and USJ Co., Ltd. will be launching a domestic flight service with a special livery aircraft named “Donkey Kong Country Opening Commemoration JAL×Universal Studios Japan Jet 2” (Embraer 190, aircraft registration: JA245J) starting January 14, 2025.
This is in commemoration of the opening of “Donkey Kong Country” within the “Super Nintendo World” at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) on December 11.
The aircraft features characters from Illumination’s Minions, Harry Potter, Sesame Street’s Elmo and Cookie Monster, Woody Woodpecker, and from Super Nintendo World, Mario and Donkey Kong.
The first flight will be from Osaka/Itami to Fukuoka, flight number JAL2057, on the same day. The operation is scheduled until around June 2026. Five different boarding proof stickers will also be available.
