Mitsui O.S.K. Lines’ Sunflower will launch its new ferry, ‘Sunflower Kamui,’ on January 21, 2025.
The name ‘Kamui’ embodies the wish to bridge tradition and future while protecting the beautiful seas. With its gross tonnage expanded to approximately 1.4 times that of current vessels, the new ferry offers improved cargo capacity. Moreover, it utilizes environmentally friendly LNG fuel. The ferry will operate on the overnight route between Oarai and Tomakomai.
The first service will start with the departure from Oarai Port at 1:45 AM.
