Odakyu Electric Railway and Odakyu Resorts are renovating the Odakyu Hakone Lake Hotel to specialize in accommodations with dogs, launching ‘RETONA HAKONE’ in December 2025.
The hotel will have 15 rooms, each approximately 90 square meters, allowing guests to enjoy hot springs in every room. The first-floor rooms will feature about 80 square meters of private dog runs, while the second-floor rooms will have inner balconies. The design incorporates a lot of wood.
Outdoors, leveraging the garden space of the Odakyu Hakone Lake Hotel, there will be about 2,200 square meters of natural grass dog runs and a dog garden, along with about 100 square meters of indoor dog run. The restaurant will offer a special menu for dogs, and there will be a grooming room for pet care. Dogs of all sizes, from small to large breeds, are welcome to stay.
