
Cathay Pacific to suspend Hong Kong–Kathmandu route Sep 15–30, resume Oct 1
Virgin Australia has announced the launch of new flight services from Brisbane and Melbourne to Ayers Rock (Uluru).
The Melbourne to Ayers Rock route will operate four return flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays beginning June 6, 2024. The Brisbane to Ayers Rock route will commence on June 7, 2024, with three return flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Both routes will utilize Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Before the disruptions caused by the pandemic, Virgin Australia operated a Sydney to Ayers Rock route. However, this service was suspended. The new routes from Brisbane and Melbourne mark the airline’s first operation to the destination from these cities.
