KAI Hakone is set to reopen on August 1, 2025, after renovations.
The concept is “Immersing in the history of the Tokaido, a hot spring inn with the comfort of Hakone.” The renovation will focus mainly on some guest rooms and public spaces, incorporating the culture nurtured by travelers along the Tokaido, introducing guest rooms where you can experience the history and traditions of Hakone, as well as a new space for local entertainment. Additionally, a relaxing space centered around a tea house will also be newly established in the courtyard. Inspired by the tea houses of the Edo period, which served as resting places for travelers, guests can use this space multiple times during their stay and enjoy hospitality according to the time of day.
The inn is currently closed for renovation, and reservations are scheduled to start in mid-April 2025.
