White Bear Hotels Takes Over Yufuin’s Yama Momiji Inn, Tamana Hot Springs
White Bear Hotels has begun managing Yama Momiji Inn in Tamana Hot Springs starting November 1.
The inn offers 12 rooms in total. The six rooms of the Japanese-modern ‘Nishi-Kan Washitsu’ (Western Building Japanese-style rooms) are equipped with 16-tatami-sized rooms and private dining, suitable even for families with children under elementary school age. The ‘Minami-Kan Washi-Yoshitsu’ (Southern Building Japanese-Western rooms) features five uniquely themed rooms, each 100 square meters in size, complete with a living room, dining area, and twin bedrooms, along with massage chairs. These rooms are intended for guests of junior high school age and older. The ‘Minami-Kan Tokubetsu-Shitsu 【Kurenai】’ (Southern Building Special Room [Crimson]) spans 120 square meters, offering a 20-tatami living and dining area that extends out to a terrace bathed in sunlight. The room is fitted with a massage chair and boasts the inn’s largest half-open-air bath with a bed for relaxation, suitable for guests of junior high school age and older. All rooms come with a half-open-air bath fed directly by the hot spring source, allowing guests to complete the check-in to check-out process within their rooms. Meals consist of dining options prepared in the room, featuring local seasonal delicacies for both dinner and breakfast.
The facility includes a large communal bath with an open-air bath called ‘Tatami no Yu’, a lounge ‘Danwa-Shitsu’ with beverages, and a shop ‘Akari no Lobby・Shop’ selling Kumamon goods, miscellaneous goods, sweets, and cosmetics.
Access is approximately 8 minutes by car from Shin-Tamana Station on the Kyushu Shinkansen, about 5 minutes by car from Tamana Station on the Kagoshima Main Line, and around 15 minutes by car from the Kikusui Interchange (IC) on the Kyushu Expressway.
