PayPay Card is set to increase its administrative fee for foreign transactions starting from March 10.
The fee adjustment will apply to all transactions processed by Visa, Mastercard, JCB (Japan Credit Bureau), and American Express, changing from the current rates of either 1.60% or 2.20% to 3.85% (tax included).
The new rates will be applied to sales settled on or after the mentioned date. The company notes that due to factors such as delays in sales data transmission from merchants or the credit card transaction processing method, the date of credit card use may not always match the date of transaction.
