Los Angeles Tourism Board Issues Statement on Wildfires; Major Attractions Largely Unaffected
Adam Burke, the director of the Los Angeles Tourism Board, issued a statement in response to the ongoing wildfires around Los Angeles, urging travelers to continue visiting, emphasizing that they are “more important than ever,” representing the 540,000 residents involved in the tourism industry.
According to the Los Angeles Tourism Board, the damage has mainly affected areas around Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Altadena, Northern Pasadena, and the area surrounding Castaic Lake in Northern Los Angeles County. Major attractions, hotels, and restaurants are largely operating as usual. The gourmet event “Dine LA” kicked off on January 24.
Travelers and industry stakeholders are provided with the latest updates on wildfires on the Los Angeles Tourism Board’s official website’s “Wildfire Update” as well as on the California Tourism Board’s website.
Director Burke commented, “Major attractions and sites are largely open as usual. As the second-largest city in America and a unique destination, Los Angeles continues to welcome you with warmth, creativity, and energy.”
