JAL Resumes Offering Nodaiwa ‘Unagi Gozen’ as Express Meal on Medium- and Long-Haul Flights

Japan Airlines (JAL) has revamped its “EXPRESS MEAL” pre-order meal service for international business class flights to include ‘Unagi Gozen,’ featuring broiled domestic farmed eel from the venerable Nodaiwa.

The offering period lasts from March 1 to August 31. Reservations are accepted until 25 hours before departure. ‘Unagi Gozen’ was offered from October 2022 to October 2023 and will be available again from June to August 2024. It has been very popular.

Eligible routes include medium- and long-haul routes from Tokyo/Haneda and Tokyo/Narita to destinations in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Exclusions include some temporary or charter flights, tour bookings, reservations under other airline codes, and wait-listed flights.
