Japan Airlines (JAL) and Bandai Namco Holdings will launch a special livery aircraft, the “JAL Gundam JET” (Boeing 737-800, Registration: JA342J), on domestic routes starting March 3 in conjunction with the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
The aircraft features an image of the “RX-78F00/E Gundam (EX-001 Glass Feather Equipment)”, which appears in the video within Bandai Namco’s pavilion “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” at the Expo, on the rear of both sides. The official mascot “Myakumyaku” of Expo 2025 is adorned at the front. A specially designed headrest cover will be provided in the cabin starting early April, with different designs for Class J and Economy Class.
The aircraft will operate until around November. The specific flight schedule will be announced later.
Additionally, a restaurant bus featuring the same design as the “JAL Gundam JET” will operate throughout Japan during the Expo. Warm meals prepared in the first floor kitchen can be enjoyed in the restaurant space on the second floor. The operating regions, schedule, and menu are currently being finalized.
