Marriott International has signed 109 agreements in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Greater China, for 2024.
The development pipeline includes 21,439 rooms, with 36% of the contracts being conversion projects. In Japan, it is launching Four Points Flex by Sheraton, with a rebranding of 14 former Unizo hotels underway.
A total of 363 properties with 77,532 rooms will be newly supplied to the region, with India, Japan, and Indonesia accounting for 72% of them.
The company is expanding its business portfolio across all market segments, including entry into midscale hotels and expansion of luxury facilities.
