Etihad Airways will introduce the Airbus A350-1000 on the Abu Dhabi-Sydney route.
Starting October 1, the frequency will be four round trips per week, complementing the Boeing 787-9 aircraft. From January 31, 2026, the route will be entirely replaced with ten round trips per week.
With an Abu Dhabi-inspired interior, the cabin is configured with 44 business class “Business Studios” featuring sliding doors and 327 economy class seats, totaling 371 seats. The lighting is inspired by the shadows of palm trees in Abu Dhabi, simulating natural ambient light designed to provide optimal sleep conditions and reduce jetlag effects. The in-flight entertainment system “E-BOX” features a dark mode and allows Bluetooth connectivity.
