Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel is offering “Peach Afternoon Tea” from August 1 to September 28.
On the top tier, there is a shortcake that highlights the sweetness of peaches and the tartness of raspberry cream, along with sponge cake infused with raspberry syrup, and scones with semi-dried peaches to dip in tart strained yogurt topped with peach flesh. The middle tier includes jelly made with almond tofu and peaches, using white and yellow peaches for a fruity aroma and smooth texture, and fig pound cake that concentrates the flavor of the ingredients. Savories include tomato consomme with peaches, tomatoes, and shrimp, and smoked salmon and potato balls with dried peach.
The welcome drink includes a peach-flavored lemon tea soda “Peach & Lemon Breeze”. Other drinks include four varieties of TWG Tea, coffee, cafe latte, iced coffee, and iced tea.
The location is on the 5th floor “Captain’s Grill and Bar”. The time slots are only weekdays with the first slot starting at 12:30 PM, and the second at 1:00 PM, each lasting for 2 hours. The price is 4,500 yen, including tax and service charge. Limited to 3 groups, 6 people each session. Reservations are required.
