At 32 hotels of WHG Hotels, the first collaboration project with the plastic model “Gunpla,” which celebrates its 45th anniversary with BANDAI SPIRITS, “Gundam R Project with WHG HOTELS,” will be held from July 15 to August 31.
The “Gundam R Project” is an experiential initiative part of the “Gunpla Recycling Project,” aimed at creating a recycling-oriented society by recycling runners (plastic frames) of collected “Gunpla” to create new Gunpla “Ecopla.” This has been conducted since April 2021. This time, one “Ecopla 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Assembly Experience Ver.” model, which can be assembled without tools, will be given to a total of 100,000 children staying at WHG Hotels’ 32 locations and to all guests staying in the collaboration rooms in 3 hotels. A box for collecting used runners will be set up in the hotel.
Additionally, a themed room, “MG RX-78-2 GUNDAM Ver.3.0 ROOM,” allowing guests to immerse themselves in Gunpla creation, inspired by “MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.3.0,” will be opened exclusively at Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel, Hotel Gracery Tamachi, and Canal City Fukuoka Washington Hotel, with one room available at each facility. The guest room is a twin room, featuring original mural design using trick art, a cockpit-style desk, exhibits of Gunpla models, a diorama mini stage, a moon-themed bed cover for photo sessions, decals, parts, and dedicated tools for Gunpla making. As a staying privilege, one Master Grade model “Ecopla” will be presented per room. The rate is 45,000 yen per night per room (including tax, service charge, and breakfast). The applicable period is from July 15 to checkout on August 31.
